What’s even more alarming is that, just a day after this horrific incident, another Boeing 737-800 operated by Jeju Air encountered technical issues. The landing gear malfunction forced the aircraft to return to its departure point, causing significant distress among passengers. While Jeju Air has stated that the return was a precautionary measure for passenger safety, the recurrence of similar technical issues raises serious concerns about maintenance and oversight. In 2021, the same plane reportedly collided with a runway during landing, causing damage to its tail skid device.
